When i was over in Japan, i caught the end of a film one night while staying in a Ryokan, and i thought this film was amazing, but i didn't really managed to catch the title\who starred in it\ directed it or really what the film was about.....so im having trouble looking it up on imdb to get the name so i can download it.

All i can remember is...

1.It was an American film in english
2.I think it might gave been black and white
3.It was arty ish
4.It co starred a woman that looked similar to Christina Ricci
5.From what i gather the plot was something to do with a neurotic man wanting to commit sucide, but he ended up falling in love with the Ricci looking woman and decided life was good
